In 2003 after more than thirty years of operation the Embassy of Bangladesh in Poland was closed. As a result there was no diplomatic facility of this country on the Polish soil. However, increasing number of Bangladeshi people who decided to migrate to Poland and developing economic relations between the countries were the most important reasons for the creation of the Consulate of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Poland. The facility was established in 2010 in Sosnowiec  on Partyzantow 5 Street, and since then has been actively working to promote culture of Bangladesh in Poland and moreover to strengthen awareness of Polish investors in terms of investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
